Accounts Payable Specialist

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the daily operations of overall accounts payable accounting processes including monthly payable accounting close activities, report preparation and analysis. This position requires a driven and tech-savvy professional with great listening skills, a collaborative work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

 

What you’ll do:

Invoice Processing:

  • Review, code, and process invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Verify invoice information, including prices, terms, and discounts, and resolve discrepancies as needed.

 

Payment Processing:

  • Prepare and schedule payment runs, ensuring payments are made on time and in compliance with payment terms.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.

 

Vendor Management:

  • Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries, resolve disputes, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Ensure vendor information and documentation are up-to-date and accurate.

 

Expense Reporting & Advances:

  • Process employee expense reports & advances, ensuring compliance with company expense policies and accurate allocation to appropriate accounts.

 

Credit Card Transaction Monitoring and Reconciliation:

  • Monitor credit card transactions and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounts payable system.
  • Reconcile credit card statements with transactions, ensuring all charges are legitimate and appropriately documented.

 

Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.

 

Tax, Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine withholding tax treatment and VAT regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements related to accounts payable processes.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to accounts payable.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts payable function and collaborate with team members to implement changes.

 

 

What you need to have:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of full accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Experience in shared service or BPO environment preferably with experience supporting North America (US/Canada) and PH
  • Familiarity with Philippine withholding tax treatment and VAT regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of GST/Sales tax for North America (US/Canada).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word).

As a key part of the Finance team, you will be responsible for performing the daily operations of overall general accounting processes including accounts reconciliation, monthly financial review, analysis, and reporting, and month-end close activities for one or more of the companies within the Nimbyx group.

The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in preparing journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. Successful candidates will have attention to detail, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

What you will do:

  • Work with Junior Controller in managing Philippine (PH) Entities. 
  • General Accounting functions, including but not limited to: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Payroll Accounting, as well as Tax Considerations. 
  • Maintaining and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts and General Ledger accounts. 
  • Will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. 
  • Preparing Financial Statements and analyses. 
  • Will be responsible for cash liquidation, cash advance and transfer pricing process. 
  • Assisting with annual audit and compliance preparations. 
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. 
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting team members as required or assigned.

  • Graduate of B.S. Accountancy 
  • With at least 5 years progressive accounting experience

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for assisting all internal and external Payroll–related matters. It also includes collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records in line with the formulation and execution of policies and procedures.   

As a Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that all employment and personal information of employees are kept and handled in accordance with existing company policies on Information Security and Data Privacy. 

Payroll Specialist is responsible for all the Payroll Administration functions for the company, specifically the following:    

  • Process Payroll: Collect, review, and process payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and any other relevant payroll information. 
  • Maintain Employee Records: Update and maintain accurate employee payroll records, including personal information, tax withholding, benefits deductions, and attendance records. 
  • Calculate Wages and Deductions: Calculate wages, salaries, and deductions accurately based on relevant payroll laws, employment agreements, and company policies. 
  • Verify Timekeeping: Review and validate timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or issues. 
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations by calculating and remitting payroll taxes, preparing tax reports, and filing tax forms accurately and timely. 
  • Benefit Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.

About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate Full-Stack (.NET) Developer to join our team. As a developer who thrives in an agile environment, you enjoy tackling challenges and solving complex problems.

In this role, you will be a key member of our Technology team, working on our flagship products and building integration frameworks that bridge legacy and modern core systems. You will constantly push the boundaries of what can be achieved and excel in fast development cycles.

As a Software Engineer, you will be expected to contribute to technical discussions, fearlessly challenging the status quo. You will demonstrate our culture of continuous learning by participating in code and design reviews, as well as facilitating team discussions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support web applications and integration services.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting application failures, including the analysis of complex problems and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Analyze and refactor existing code to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to building a stronger technology team by conducting code reviews and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with documented software processes and procedures throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Apply best practice principles and software design patterns when designing and developing solutions and services.
  • Drive and help establish a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
  • Provide timely communication on project deliverables to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Be flexible with work schedules and occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
  • Help establish a vibrant and engaging workplace culture, taking the lead on initiatives and fostering a sense of fun.
  • Perform other duties as required, including special projects assigned by the company

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Development experience in C# and Microsoft.NET design.
  • Good to have: Advanced understanding and demonstrated experience with:
    • NET Framework 6.0+.
    • ReactJS, JavaScript, jQuery.
    • MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Source Versioning Tools (e.g., VSO, TFS, GIT).
  • Understanding of database design and development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Proactive approach to executing assigned tasks in a timely and flawless manner.
  • Strong teamwork acumen with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
